My New Friend
I just wanted you to see my new friend--here's a picture of us:

He says that some people call him "Shamu", but he says he likes "Great White". Mr. Scott drives him most of the time, but sometimes (like today), Mr. Scott rides while Mr. Ed gets to drive.

Snow and Tell
Wow! What a cool thing (pardon the pun!) to find a nice white blanket covering me and everything else around the library. Here are some pictures:

MEL's Back!
After having been at the shop, MEL's back in service again--and the generator is doing just fine. We now have regular lights and can plug in our space heater once more. It's funny how one can take these things for granted sometimes...
We were at Anthem Hills Park yesterday, and one of our "Season's Readings" drawing winners picked up her prize. She was delighted! It's so much fun. Check out the library website for more information, or just come see us! Happy Holidays!!!
Happy Birthday to Me!
Here I am at Wheelers RV. It’s time for my annual check-up—I’m a whole year old now! I’m really glad that they won’t give me a shot, but they are going to poke and prod at me (so I’ve heard). My generator has been on the blink again, so that will be fixed, too. I will be so glad when I’ve been given a clean bill of health! The battery operated lanterns have been fun for the kids, but I know that the Outreach Team will be happier when they can plug in their heater and computer and turn on the lights again!
Anyway, I’m sitting here in line with a lot of other RVs, but I don’t see anyone who has books and stuff like I do. I’m pretty special, you know. Some of these other guys are bigger than me, too, but they just sit there, staring straight ahead. I wonder if maybe I’m smarter than they are because of all the reading that goes on in and around me…
I’m supposed to get to go back to my home parking spot at the Paseo Verde Library on Friday—I miss it already—I don’t know anyone here. I hope they do my exam soon and get it over with so that I can relax!
I'm also wondering how old I am in Bookmobile Years. I've heard that for every Human Year, there are 7 Dog Years...anybody know?
